…is just too much. So sweet and joyous. I first photographed Mommy when Ethan was only a baby bump, then when he was newly born, then in the studio at around 5 months and now he’s a whole year old! To top it all, this family will be adding another little guy to the crew in a few months! Can’t wait to meet him and photograph him, and see who he’ll look like. I love doing the Chichi Baby Collections so much. Not only do I get the privilege of seeing the babies grow through that all important first year with all its incredible transformations, but I also get to know the family really well to where it no longer feels like a photo shoot, but more like you’re just hanging out at the park or beach and taking some pictures in between. I used my little FlipHD video camera to record a quick little video of Ethan, but the files are huge and I haven’t figured out how to make it smaller yet, so I’ll try to post it soon. In the meantime, enjoy this hilarious little dude. Oh those faces….love it. ♥ Vanessa

Named after Daddy, this brand spakin’ new bundle of goodness was absolutely perfect. He had just arrived in this world a few days earlier and was already showered with love from three generations of women (Mom, grandma and great-grandma!). He slept like a…um…baby. Ha! Seriously, he was so so good. He returned the “showering” love to Mommy by peeing on her in a few shots, but that’s what happens when it’s cold and you make a baby go commando for a few minutes. It’s practically guaranteed. Love all of these shots. He was was one of the smoothest newborn photo sessions I’ve done in a while. Congratulations Sharon and Eduardo! ♥ Vanessa

These two fun characters you first met back in October of ‘08. They’ve both grown immensely since then as you can see. Rene is as rambunctious as he was then and still all personality. Little Felipe is now such a big boy…with the cutest yummiest cankles you will ever see! (look at the photo with the yellow chair…goodness, love those fat feet). They were both great, even with Rene driving his little brother crazy. I know Felipe will eventually catch up to him and hatch the most perfect revenge. Until then, Mom will hold the evidence as he was caught in the act many times during this session. : ) Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Love this group…so fun.

This was as good as they got together, cute though. : )

That’s what this sweet angel’s name means, beautiful flower. Little Ayanna did her name proud in her very first photo session which took place right before the new year. She came to the studio with Mommy, Daddy and big brother Aidan – who was a ball of energy and smarts. I love these images…such tenderness and beauty. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

It was the end of the year and Nicole came down with Mom, Dad, best friend and family dog in tow for her super fashionable S12 Senior session at the beach. Did I mention they drove? From Michigan?!?!?! Yeah, a loooooooooooooooonng way. I was a little cold, wearing a fleece sweater, nose dripping, eyes tearing….and Nicole’s Dad was in SHORTS. Ha! So funny. I think we Floridians are hilarious during “winter” – freezing in 60°. This day was a dream, oh so beautiful….exactly the reason why the rest of the country flocks our way at this time of year…absolutely perfect for a photo shoot. Nicole knocked it out like a pro. Take a look and drop her some blog love (comments)… Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

This group of cousins was such a fun bunch to photograph. The guys were in town visiting for the holidays and Aunt Lori decided to do a session of the gals and guys; a fabulous idea, don’t you think? Their relationship is exactly what extended families are all about; the comfort and hilarity of shared childhood stories and the simple bond that ties you together for life. It made me reminisce on the sixteen first cousins I have in Panama (that’s just on my father’s side!) and all the crazy stories from our childhood growing up together. I had a great time clowning around with these four, climbing trees, laughing, joking. My fave is the jumping shot, LOVE their faces there. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

From the first phone call with Ellen [Mom] I knew this was going to be a great, easy-going, sweet session. She mentioned that she wanted to include the family Beagle (Jasper) in the portraits. What?!?! I LOoooooVE Beagles. I told her the short story of my sweet Beagle Cookie who had passed away, and mentioned I’m mustering the courage to get another one. Well, needless to say, it was an instant connection, as was the session day with the rest of the family. Loved this family. I got to see everyone again a couple of weeks later to document a very special family dinner and had a wonderful time then as well. Lovely, lovely family. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa
Had to start with the STAR of the family : ) Jasper!

Gabriel, Gregory and Benjamin. So blessed to know them, to know their story and to know their beautiful Mom. I’ve photographed each of them since they were in Mommy’s belly. She’s one of the strongest women I know and continually amazes me with her courage. We did this session a few days before Christmas because she wanted to photograph them together before Gregory went in for, hopefully, the last of his multiple open-heart surgeries. We always manage to catch up and connect in such a personal real way in a very short amount of time. She’s truly inspiring, not just because she manages three boys beautifully, but because she does it with such strength, conviction, compassion and love. Truly beautiful to witness.
The boys did not stay still together for longer than three second, especially because Benjamin (the little one) is brand new to the walking thing and was too busy being the intrepid explorer of the park. There was a lot of playing, and screaming, and laughing, and crying…everything a good session needs. This first shot is the only portrait-type shot I got of them together; but, I love the beautiful individual shots I got of each. You can see their personalities in their eyes…so different yet undeniably brothers. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa
P.S. The surgery got postponed until the end of this month…so, “Believe in Miracles”.

Such a big name for such a little guy. He certainly lived up to it. He was in charge of his session from the get go. Mommy wanted shots with the cutest embroidered hat she had bought specifically for his photos, but little big John David did not like it and was curious about what was going on; so, although yawning and tired, he took over an hour and a half to fall asleep! But, once that happened, it was sweetness overload…enough to cause the worst of cavities. Look at the sleeping smiling shots and you’ll know what I’m talking about. Angels whispering in his ear for sure. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Armed….because she was only calm in Mommy’s or Daddy’s arms. And Dangerous…well, just look at that face! She’s got beautiful eyes, enviable lips, and a chubbyness that will kill you! At only three months, a beach session was not her cup of tea, or milk, or anything. No matter how beautiful the day was Valentina did not want to deal with me, or the big black thing, or the water, or the sand. Nope. Not gonna do it. That’s ok, we got gorgeous shots anyway. Take a look. (See you next week Elizabeth!) ♥ Vanessa
