Love and Closeness • Miami modern family photographer

Two days before Christmas I met this fun bunch for a family photo session in South Beach. From the moment we met them it felt SO comfortable. They were cracking jokes, making each other laugh and making me laugh a little too much as well. The only tough thing about this shoot was keeping the camera straight and not shaking. Fortunately, ahem…I’m a professional…so the majority are in focus. LOL  It was easily the best way to end 2011, feeling the love and closeness of this family. Analis’ Monster of a Ball • Quince Fifteen photographer Miami

A Lady Gaga inspired Quince party that was, simply put, Monster fun!!! You saw Analis’ sessions’ photos on the blog a few weeks ago. Her party was all around the most fun I’ve had at a Quince EVER. The event was planned by he fantastic Jennifer from Jennifer J Events which included a lounge, a candy/sweets station, body and face painting, and a DJ featuring the most entertaining spirited MC that kept the party going and the spirits high all night. Take a look and tell me it does not look like it was a blast. It took me two days to recover, but it was so worth it. Enjoy!  ♥ Vanessa

Lucas • Miami Newborn Photographer

Words are insufficient to express how happy I feel about baby Lucas’ arrival, who came to bless and make my lovely friends a family. You might remember Sandra’s birthday/maternity session a few months back here on the blog. We did Lucas’ session within a week of his arrival yet he was the most awake baby I have ever photographed. My favorite thing this session was Dad telling Lucas, “Luc I am your father”….hahaha. Love it! Here’s for you Sandra and Jorge, see you soon. Enjoy!  ♥ Vanessa

University Graduate • Graduation photographer Miami

This beautiful young woman proudly graduated from the University of Miami the day after our photo shoot. It was extremely windy yet we had no choice than to proceed because she was moving back home to Texas the next day. You can’t even tell right? Mom and Dad were in town for the special occasion so we got some shots with them at the beach and then went to the UM campus to wrap up the shoot. Here are some highlights. Enjoy!  ♥ Vanessa

Santa’s Little Helper • Christmas Photographer Miami

It’s hard to believe that the Holiday Season came and went once again in the blink of an eye. The decorations are coming down and we’re already preparing for Valentine’s Day – I’m sure every store will be decorated with hearts by this weekend. Before it’s all over I wanted to share a special session from an adorable Santa’s Little Helper that came to the studio with Grandma and Mom, who was so excited to get her baby’s first Christmas immortalized. There You Are Tina! • Miami photographer portraits

Back in October VLM Studios was celebrating its 10th year anniversary and, as part of the month-long celebration, we gave away three studio sessions on our Facebook page. Evidently, if you’re not a fan yet, you’re missing out! Click here to “Like” our page.

Tina is one of the free-session recipients. We spoke a couple of times about clothing and how nervous she was about being photographed. I assured her it would be fun and that I would capture her beauty. She scoffed at the mention of her beauty even while I was photographing her. It took some warming up, loud music and lots of laughter to get the real Tina to come out…but she eventually did and that’s when I said…”THERE’s Tina”!!! I knew YOU were in there still Tina, don’t forget YOU. You’re gorgeous inside and out! Enjoy!  ♥ Vanessa

Stephanie • Quince Photographer Miami

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!! After a very restful week off, we’re hitting the ground running for 2012 beginning with lots of blog posts. I’ll be posting sessions every day until I catch up with posts, so stay tuned for all the fun final sessions of 2011. Here. We. Go!

This Quinceañera did a studio session and a 3-location session which yielded nearly 500 shots! She is contagiously fun and relaxed which served the long shoot perfectly, specially when she could barely walk in those mammoth heels on the railroad track. :) Here are some highlights of fabulous Stephanie. Enjoy!  ♥ Vanessa

Their first • Miami family photographer

This was their first professional photo session. I’m so happy that Mom loved their photos and incredibly honored that they chose VLM Studios. From the get go Jaylen was non-stop as ALL almost-two-year-olds are at this stage. When we got to the beach he did not like the sand at all, but eventually warmed up to it and the water, and then it was all fun splashing and running up and down the shore. He’s got the most amazing sparkling eyes and a smile that will cause hearts to pitter-patter when he gets older…for now, he’s all Mom’s. Enjoy!  ♥ Vanessa

Daniella’s Wonderland • Children Photographer Miami

There are too many images from this gorgeous Alice in Wonderland inspired first birthday party to try to fit into this post, so here’s the short version…. there were characters, a butterfly release, a candy station, adorable bunnies, incredible children’s table, an awe-inspiring cake, a harp player, classical string quartet and, of course, loads of fun. Analis’ Monster Quince Photos • Fifteens Photos Miami

Three sessions, three locations, a Lady Gaga “monster” inspired themed party, purple tennis shoes, synchronicity with a vintage car, rain, fantastic make-up, and ALL an absolute blast! Can’t tell you how much fun it was to photograph Analis and hang out with her awesome Mom (and their “Mack Daddy” make-up artist Jonathan). There are nearly 800 images from the three sessions for which I have yet to complete the editing, but I hand-picked this group to give you a small glimpse of this sweet, gentle and beautiful girl.
