What a lovely cheery baby! While most babies don’t really dig having their outfit changed, Veronica had three wardrobe changes and still kept her happy spirit. There were many smiles and curious stares at leaves, and branches and grass….and taste tests as well. LOL.  I love that you can see her teeth coming out in this first image. This sweet angel is Clorissa. Very alert and extremely aware for a two-week old baby. I photographed Mom’s maternity shoot only a couple of weeks before and she was fabulous! I posted a sneak peek on the VLM Studios Facebook page if you want to see it here. For this shoot though, Mom was tired and was not ‘feeling it’. :) So we focused completely on Clarissa who was very opinionated about what she wanted to do and not do. I dare you to not smile when you see these. Adam’s faces and eyes are ridiculously cute just like they were in his first shoot…and at only 5 months I couldn’t believe he was already sitting up! For his newborn session Mommy did her very best to try to convince me that she wasn’t photogenic and, for this reason, she would not be in any photos. While this time around Mom was open to being in some shots, Dad was singing the same ‘un-photogenic’ tune. I was unsuccessful at getting Dad in the photos, but hopefully once he sees these he’ll change his mind for the next shoot which will be when Adam is 8 months. In the meantime, leave them some blog love so they know how important it is for them to be in the photos with their adorable baby boy! Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

This is the third Princess and her name is Daniella. Unlike her two older sisters, whom I’ve also photographed since they were the same age, Daniella is very very serious. It was hard work trying to get her to smile while the camera was pointed at her. I did manage to get one smile, a handful of smirks, and many great faces and expressions, with some lovely sisterly and family shots sprinkled in between. Here are a few from this gorgeous session. This was the first session of the year and it was the perfect way to kick off 2011… twin boys, big brother Jack and Grandma and Grandpa (visiting all the way from England!). Jack and I hit it off right away, we played hide and seek, he showed me his karate moves and his brand new Christmas-delivered toys. Everyone did fabulously, specially the twins who hung in there through the upheaval from their regular non-eventful days. It’s always an honor photographing grandparents with their grandkids, it’s such a special relationship and a very particular kind of tenderness that I really enjoy watching. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

I love that all babies have their own little curious traits that pretty much confirm to me the divine uniqueness of each person. In Dyllan’s case it’s the most adorable tooth that has been out since he was born! It reminded me of Nanny McPhee, although Dyllan does not need transformation as evidenced in these images…he’s already gorgeous! I love his laughter in that second image where you can see his tooth peek out. I’ll be photographing big brother Ethan’s second birthday soon…can’t believe he’s two already, he was born just yesterday! Stay tuned for more of these two little guys coming during the year. A few weeks ago you saw this little angel’s Mommy and Daddy on the blog, joyfully expecting his arrival. Giuliano arrived not too long after that and he couldn’t have been more welcomed. The love between them was palpable as ever with this family. I had such a lovely time photographing them and their new gift…just in time for Christmas. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

It’s hard to believe, but it’s time for Veronica’s second photo session post! She’s now four months and getting more adorable by the minute. I loved the polka dot hat and bottoms Mom had picked out, which were perfect for some gorgeous shots by the pool. She was a trooper and gave me many beautiful images. Thank you Vero! The next session is at 8 months which is one of my favorite shoots of the first year…she’s going to be even more adorable in those, I just know it. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

The story of this little guy’s birth is so amazing that I needed to share a little bit of it. Adam’s Mom decided to do an all-natural in-home birth. She looked up doulas and midwives, and completely prepared for it physically and mentally. The time came for Adam to enter the world and the process of birthing lasted three days…yes, you read that right, THREE days. She was committed to experiencing fully the beauty of natural child birth and giving Adam the best experience possible. Her strength and love made my jaw drop multiple times as she told me the story. I came over to photograph her beautiful baby boy about two weeks after the joyful arrival and Adam could not have been more awake. He had great expressions and was very aware of his surroundings. I’m certain it had to do with the natural process through which he was born. I’m really looking forward to photographing his first year. Absolutely lovely Natalya! ♥ Vanessa

This 4-day old sweetness is Mauricio who arrived into the world a couple of weeks ago. He was absolute perfection in his very first shoot. He slept when we needed him to and never really cared what I was doing to get his picture as long as he got to sleep and eat. You probably remember Mommy’s maternity shoot…well, she was a total natural with her little guy. Just beautiful to behold. See you soon Karla!  ♥ Vanessa
