It is very clear from the moment you meet Megan that she is very clear about who she is and what she wants. She’s an absolute original whose authenticity and boldness, I venture to guess, may not be applauded in the halls of high-schools, but will totally be hailed in the halls of life. As they say…’she’s going places’, I’m certain of it. Her session was as fun as it looks. Yes… she really rocks the guitar and also totally rocked those boots! :) Can’t wait to show her and Mom all the shots. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Very Cool Eddie • Graduation Senior Pictures Miami Photographer
I had the pleasure of photographing this gentle, smart, and easy-going young man a couple of weeks ago. I rarely get to photograph teenage/Senior guys, so I was really excited when we talked about his red Mustang and Tae Kwon Do during his planning appointment. He had an awesome throwback hat that went perfect with the car and leather jacket. It’s totally a modern ‘rat pack’ shot to me, my favorite from this shoot. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Chelsea • Graduation Senior pictures Miami photographer
Chelsea came all the way from Pittsburgh for her fabulous senior photo shoot in Miami Beach. We had originally scheduled a Thursday afternoon shoot, the weather had other plans of course. We ended up shooting on Friday morning – not my favorite time – but the only time slot available. You can see by the light in these shots that it was so worth it and just amazing. Love the colors and energy of these images. Chelsea you were fantastic! Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Sassy Senior • Senior Portrait Photographer Miami
It seems lately that all the S12 Senior photo sessions are from out of state. Brooke came from Ohio for her fabulous graduation photos. We did one session in the studio and one on location, and both were absolutely amazing. Her eyes are incredible and her style is all her own. Love her boldness and sass. Great job Brooke! ♥ Vanessa

Classy Bohemian • Graduation Senior Pictures Miami
All the way from West Virginia, Madison came to town with a sweet classy bohemian style that’s right up my alley. We did her graduation photos in 93° heat, but this cool grad was in perfect form. Loved her outfits, her accessories and her attitude even more. Mom was just as cool and fun. Had such a great time in this shoot. Madison, you’re gorgeous! The rest of the images will be ready soon…enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Ten + Deuce • Miami Senior Portrait Photographer
This cool spunky girl came from Illinois for a very cool S12 Senior Photo shoot. July didn’t disappoint with it’s hotness or mosquitoes, but neither did the light nor the model. Kelsey has an amazing pair of blue eyes that were set perfectly against turquoise color outfits which made them pop brilliantly. She valiantly sported a leather jacket, rocked a gorgeous flirty dress and we wrapped it all up with some tennis-themed shots to reflect her favorite sport. A great girl and a great shoot. Congratulations on your Senior year Kelsey! ♥ Vanessa

Nicole from Michigan • Senior Graduation Photography Miami
It was the end of the year and Nicole came down with Mom, Dad, best friend and family dog in tow for her super fashionable S12 Senior session at the beach. Did I mention they drove? From Michigan?!?!?! Yeah, a loooooooooooooooonng way. I was a little cold, wearing a fleece sweater, nose dripping, eyes tearing….and Nicole’s Dad was in SHORTS. Ha! So funny. I think we Floridians are hilarious during “winter” – freezing in 60°. This day was a dream, oh so beautiful….exactly the reason why the rest of the country flocks our way at this time of year…absolutely perfect for a photo shoot. Nicole knocked it out like a pro. Take a look and drop her some blog love (comments)… Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

it doesn’t matter • Senior photos graduation photography Miami
In every location session, an interesting balance of many variables must occur in order to make a photo work, make it “spark”. There are the tangible things like the subject, the light, the equipment, the location, the style, and the “posing”; and then there are the intangibles like colors, composition, relationships, moods, and energy. The balance of all these elements must happen, no matter what, you feel it and you see it. You have to make it work. For Nicole’s S12 Senior session, a few of these variables were apparently taking a vacation; the most disconcerting was the light. It was very overcast, a little gloomy, and just not quite exciting. But, these moments are always a welcomed challenge because they push me to search for that balance and create something beautiful with what’s around me…to find the shot, because there’s always a great shot. It doesn’t matter which of those elements didn’t show up to my session, I must find that balance and, in the words of Tim Gunn (Project Runway), make it work. Love these three shots of Nicole. As it turned out, that light was stunning for her complexion. ♥ Vanessa

Magic happens • senior photos miami graduation pictures
Every six months or so I see my work go through a transformation, always as a direct outcome of my own life transformations. I sense it in me, I see it in my images and feel it all around me. For Lynn’s Senior photos we planned a morning session in an attempt to avoid another reschedule due to weather. As you all know by now, I’m a night owl and, although I love mornings, I can’t seem to get up for them. So, I don’t usually book 8 am sessions let alone on a Monday morning. But, here I was at 8 am ready for a beach session in the least favorable light possible. I was 10 minutes late and Lynn was still getting her make-up done……so I waited…….really really relaxed. I forgot about the light being too strong, about starting late, about the heat, the props, the shade, the breakfast, the e-mails….I just let it go….and then….magic happens. I’m über excited about these shots and even more thrilled about what’s to come in this transmutation. Lynn, you did an amazing job! ♥ Enjoy…

Just Because • Miami photography studio
It’s a special birthday…her 21st. This is Patricia, who is quite soulful and centered for such a young woman. Her Mom is a High-School teacher who has been following my Senior photography for a while and thought it would be sensational to commemorate this most exciting of birthdays with a photo session. As you can see, Patrcia’s style is eclectic, flirty, and fun…very feminine; yet, you wouldn’t believe it if I told you that she plays basketball and works at a basketball camp; AND she loves music and converse shoes (which she was wearing with this first dress–my kinda girl). I love contrasting eclectic styles like hers, so I had a blast! We got honked at several times, which comes as no surprise in Miami, and sweated like if we were doing the shoot on the surface of the sun. But, since I am like Superman and I get my power from the sun (LOL), the session was flawless and Patricia scored high on her very first professional photo session! Take a look at this gorgeousness….Â
