You may think that Gabriella is a professional model by looking at these shots. But, while not a model, you could say she’s a pro by now. You see, I’ve been photographing her since she was just 3 months old and she’s now five! Some people are just natural in front of a camera and, from her very first session, Gabriella knew just what to do to look adorable and natural. The thing is that, since I’ve photographed her for so long, pretty much everywhere, it’s always a fun challenge coming up with something new for her sessions. Mom and I talk about themes and locations and buy props and it’s a blast every time. Gabriella loves the outdoors, nature and animals, so for this session we did a country style theme. Mom (as always) got the cutest outfits and accessories, and with a perfect day to boot, everything was totally ON for the shoot. Gabriella once again just brought it, I mean, seriously, isn’t she adorable? Such a fun session. I was so amazed at how big she’s gotten that I went through her old sessions and thought I’d share those with you…you can see them at the end of this post. Time flies…don’t forget to stop and document it. ♥ Vanessa

These are highlights of some of Gabriella’s past sessions. I got teary just going over these. She’s growing so fast, but maturing and blossoming so beautifully. The first row are from her first 18 months and was all done on film (feels like an eternity ago that I was shooting only film). The first one with the baby mohawk was at around 3 months. Sigh…so blessed to be able to do this for a living, to be welcomed into a family and to be entrusted with documenting so many lives.

Jennifer Chaney - oh Vanessa! She’s SO cute! Fabulous job! My favorite part seeing the little collage at the end. That first one with the hair? Haha! So great!!May 7, 2010 – 9:17 am

Chelsey - Oh she is adorable! Amazing job Ms-Van! LOVE the country theme. You guys rocked it! Accessories, no doubt, contribute to the look of the shoot. It’s like putting that final strand of hair ‘in place’ – love seeing her ‘through the ages’ too!May 7, 2010 – 12:34 pm

Vanessa - Thanks Chelsey and Jen.May 11, 2010 – 3:19 pm

Country Girl's Mommy - Most of the time, when someone tells me how much Gabriella has changed, I can’t see it. I still see her as the 3 month old baby inside her bassinet, hair sticking up, and natural heart shape birth mark on her cheek you photographed 5 years ago. You photograph every detail!

It was not until I saw the collage that I saw right before my very eyes how much she has changed and though still a baby how much her face has matured.

You are a part of our family, but hold a special place in my heart for always bringing out the best in my girls and for capturing the things that I think only I can see as their mom. You truly are remarkable and we love you for that.

We are happy that as our family grows…you will continue to grow with us and keep documenting our lives!May 11, 2010 – 5:03 pm
