Goodness, time flies… • beach photographer miami

It’s so redundant to say how time flies, I mean we’re down to a little over a month before 2013! Yet, it’s so much more palpable for me as I watch all the babies I have photographed since they were born now turning 4, 5, 6, 7, 8…calling me by my name (which always melts my heart into a puddle), doing sports, Communions, dancing, losing teeth, getting braces….*sigh*. I’m so blessed and so grateful to get to do what I do. I’ve seen Melina and Kalia grow from the beginning and get so excited to see them every year and plan their shoot with their awesome Mom. This time around Kalia (the little one) was really friendly and calling me by name – yes I died from cuteness overload. :) Love this family so much and the beautiful slice of time we get to spend every year talking, laughing and taking a few pictures in between. When you have a family of six (with four kids) it’s quite a task to get everyone excited about doing family photos. So we decided to have it be like any other day of fun in the backyard…and what fun this was. Swings, trampoline, dancing, shooting the basketball and finally some family shots on the boat. Love the happiness in the swing shots. They were flying really high which brought back many childhood memories of doing the same. This first one is a favorite. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Noelle’s 6 months • baby photographer in Miami

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been six months since Noelle’s newborn session. It always brings me such joy documenting all the babies’ stages; capturing the new expressions – specially the funny ones – but even more is seeing the wonder in their eyes as they absorb a new experience, like the feeling of grass in their hands and feet. Noelle LOVED the grassy mossy wall I photographed her against. She was completely hypnotized by the textures and colors. Can’t wait to see her walking! Here’s a snippet of her shoot. …who’s there…don’t bother answering, I’m already here! :) That’s how fast Cameron came into this world. In a completely natural birth, his arrival came and went in a matter of two hours! We did his session about a week later and Cameron was a ball of delicious goodness. You saw this gorgeous couple’s lovely maternity session a few weeks back, and this session was equally beautiful. I have many favorites in this one (including some of big brother Lucas – which I posted on Facebook), but all the black and white’s on here rank really high on my list. Alana & Brian – Expecting • Miami Pregnancy Photographer

Not 10 days ago did I photograph this gorgeous happy couple….and, last I checked today, Alana is probably giving birth as I post this! Brian contacted me trying to decide on whether they should do a maternity shoot or not, specially given that they were due in about 3 weeks. I’m so glad they went for it and we were able to arrange everything in such short notice. It was the most perfect Sunday afternoon, at the most adorable quaint location, with incredibly sweet light…couldn’t have asked for more. We wrapped up the shoot at their apartment with an incredible view, more scrumptious light, and Lucas, their first “baby” – a cutie greyhound rescue that simply melted me. The last one of Alana standing in the balcony is my favorite. Can’t wait to photograph the little guy next week. In the mean time, enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Constantine’s World • Miami children photographer

Typically, most shoots deal with Moms trying to get their kids into nice outfits and the kids whining about it. When I arrived for Constantine’s shoot I noticed he was really put together – sporting a very stylish outfit with dinner jacket and all. To my surprise, Mom said that it was all his doing. She said that he dressed himself, that he loves wearing his jacket, and that he doesn’t feel like he’s well dressed unless he has a jacket on (won’t take it off no matter how hot it gets). I knew I was in for a treat! Once the session started it was clear that that was no joke. Constantine knew instinctively how to pose, stand, look at the camera and just be at ease in the spotlight. He showed me his black Spider-Man costume and insisted on doing photos with it, so we did. And I’m SO glad we did. LOVE the Spidey shots. By the end, he had pulled out a full-size Spider-Man costume for me to wear. He is the awesomest 4 year old ever! ;) Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Alana is a First • Miami Quince photographer

Alana’s Quince shoot was a first in a couple of ways. For one, it was the fastest turnaround from meeting to shooting I’ve done on a Quinceañera ever. And two, it was the first time shooting at a museum, which I absolutely loved. What a sweet lovely girl this is. She collects Pandas so we got one of her biggest ones in a couple of shots and truly took advantage of all the angles and surfaces at this location. Here are some faves. Great job Alana! It’s clear…sort of • Miami Baby photographer

In typical summer fashion, there were about four reschedules due to bad weather before I got to photograph little Eduardo. Fortunately Mom is a really easy-going sweet lady and had no problems with that. On this day it was finally clear, well, sort of…clear enough and pretty enough for beautiful soft pictures. Eduardo’s Dad is Brazilian which of course means there had to be photos with their soccer uniform! He looked soooo cute. We did a couple more outfit changes, went to the beach and had a grand ole time eating some sand and hanging out butt nekkid in the water…well, he did at least. ;) Here are some favorites. Baby Kai • Newborn Baby Photographer Miami

Beautiful baby Kai has arrived! Big brother Zayden is not too thrilled about it, but will surely warm up to the idea – in a couple of years maybe. :) You might remember him (a.k.a. my boyfriend) from Mom’s pregnancy shoot. It was no different this time around. While I photographed Kai he kept holding my hand and even cried when I went home. Such a cutie. While Dad was nervous and embarrassed that Kai was not falling asleep, he was an absolute angel. Love these images. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa
