This year’s fall themed Quick Takes are set once again! If you don’t know what Quick Takes are,they are special promotional events held twice a year that boast a minimal sitting fee, pre-paid packages at reduced rates, and are centered around a “scene” created specially for the event; in this case, a Fall scene. It is for children 6 months to 6 years old. The Spring Quick Takes were a hit… if you want to take a peek at some of the stars of that day click here.

This event sells out fast, so contact the studio as soon as you can to reserve a spot for your little ones. Appointments are required. Halloween costumes are welcomed!

At last we got to complete Dylan’s first birthday session! The rain was the main culprit as to why he’s already (I think) 15 months. This day was almost a wash out as well, but the sun held out just enough to allow us to get these beautiful shots at the beach. Dylan is not much of a smiler, so I’m thrilled to have gotten a few of him doing just that. Photographing this family is always a ton of fun. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Why wouldn’t he? His big brother is, after all, Chewbacca! You might remember Chewy’s session, but just in case you can see it here. They even share the same rolling tongue! This was Logan’s 4-month Chichi Baby session and he was exactly as he’s supposed to be….impossibly adorable. Mom brought the best hat and onesie EVER! Yep, that’s R2D2 on the hat. Gotta love a Mom that loves Star Wars. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

Such a big name for such a little guy, but Arthur made his name proud. He was King and was not going to do anything anyone wanted him to do. He was awake most of the shoot and a little upset that I was interrupting his regular schedule. We were able get a few great shots at home and opted to continue the shoot in the studio the week after. At the studio he was much the same except for a small 10 minute window where he fell into a very light sleep. That’s all we needed. Love the family shot where he’s looking straight at Daddy. I went over to this wonderful family’s home to photograph their newest arrival, Trevor and the moment Mom opened the door I had the feeling I had met her before, like I’ve known her for a long time. But I could not remember from where. I mentioned it to her and she had the same feeling. We have yet to figure out how it is that we know each other, but we figured out how to get some beautiful shots of both boys and of the whole family. Love this first shot, so tender. It’s almost the end of June and it’s hard to believe how fast this year is going. It’s more palpable to me every time I wrap up a Chichi Baby Collection with the first birthday session. You’ve seen Veronica on the blog over the last year as she’s reached all her first year milestones. She’s now walking, her little personality is setting in and she’s even more adorable than she was the first time I photographed her. She wasn’t a fan of the sand on her feet – which almost ended this session – but persistence paid off and it was all smiles at the end. Here are a few…enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

I did Andrea’s older sister’s First Communion portraits about five or six years ago, so I was absolutely thrilled when Mom called about photographing Andrea this time around. They are practically complete opposites in personality. Andrea made me laugh many times and was utterly unguarded in front of the camera. In her words, “I’m very likable”… so funny. Loved her spunk and confidence…and her curls! Can’t wait to hear her remarks when she sees the whole session. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

At nearly two years old, Max was exactly what you’d expect him to be…perfectly delicious, sweet and non-stop! In constant motion from beginning to end I merely followed him around, up, under, and everywhere he went. He played to the camera twice when he saw me laying on the ground to get a better angle, he laid on the ground right in front of me and hammed it up. He killed me! Love that last shot of the family. It’s so hard to fathom sometimes how fast time passes by. I first photographed Sophia when she was almost two years old…on film!…and now it’s her First Communion! What?!?! I’m feeling a little old right now. :) As always, she was the sweetest girl to photograph, such a warm and tender personality. We did these in her backyard so it was very relaxed and comfortable. The best part was that grandpa and grandma were in town for her Communion, so we got some shots with them also, such a blessing. Congratulations Sophia on this beautiful milestone! Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

There are some babies that love the water and sand, others can’t even go near or touch either. Eddy Jo LOVES the beach, well, actually anything having to do with water as Mom casually mentioned. Evidently, he couldn’t be more thrilled about his last Chichi Baby session being at the beach. He was quite upset when we finished…shedding a few tears and expressing his frustration at the brevity and the tease of it all. I love the pure joy in that last image. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa
