A Lady Gaga inspired Quince party that was, simply put, Monster fun!!! You saw Analis’ sessions’ photos on the blog a few weeks ago. Her party was all around the most fun I’ve had at a Quince EVER. The event was planned by he fantastic Jennifer from Jennifer J Events which included a lounge, a candy/sweets station, body and face painting, and a DJ featuring the most entertaining spirited MC that kept the party going and the spirits high all night. Take a look and tell me it does not look like it was a blast. It took me two days to recover, but it was so worth it. Enjoy!  ♥ Vanessa

Three sessions, three locations, a Lady Gaga “monster” inspired themed party, purple tennis shoes, synchronicity with a vintage car, rain, fantastic make-up, and ALL an absolute blast! Can’t tell you how much fun it was to photograph Analis and hang out with her awesome Mom (and their “Mack Daddy” make-up artist Jonathan). There are nearly 800 images from the three sessions for which I have yet to complete the editing, but I hand-picked this group to give you a small glimpse of this sweet, gentle and beautiful girl. My attempt to catch up on blog posts continues! Here are Yansari’s very funky Quince sessions from back in September…yeah I know, very late post. She wanted to do a little 80′s and a marionette-like shoot plus a soft beach look. The boots with the Quince dress were incredibly fun. I love playing with hard and soft styles like that. You could say it’s a little homage to Pat Benatar who was something of an inspiration during the planning stage. My favorite one though is the mermaid goddess shot at the beach, gorgeous. We had planned Gabriella’s session with a very whimsical and romantic style which dictated her choice of clothing, accessories and location. The planning is always great because it gives me an general plan around which to visualize the images, but I’m completely open to (and make sure to leave room for) improvisation and unpredictable variables. The day of the beach session, Gabriella forgot ALL her accessories. No Problem. We made do with what we had available including using the earrings I was wearing. :) The location was closing earlier than expected. No problem. We begged and pushed it until we got kicked out and went to another location to finish. Those two minor setbacks could’ve killed the mood and energy of the shoot, but fortunately Gabriella and her Mom were open and relaxed as well, so everything came out as beautiful as it was supposed to come out. A few days later we did another shoot in the studio and Gabriella ‘brought it’. Such a sweet young lady. Here’s a taste of both shoots. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

What a gentle beauty Natalie is. She had a magical teal dress that seemed to match everything around us. We did some shots with little sister Rachel who is a bucket of love, so cute! Everything was just lovely. Even with the crazies that came out at the last location fabulousness ensued. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

To mark Ashley’s “Quince Primaveras” (Fifteen Springs) we did 3 shoots over 4 days. They were all incredible which is why this post took me forever to do and why it has so many images. The studio session was a favorite because she was so ‘game’ for my Spring showers concept and it came off without a hitch! Love those images. She’s been waiting patiently for this post, so I’ll let the images do the talking. Enjoy! ♥ Vanessa

I didn’t know how to start this post. You see, this is my very sweet, beautiful, adorable niece Lourdes. My cousin (her Mom) and I had been out of touch for many years; in part because we live in different countries, but also because life happens and we allow it to dictate too many things. Yet, through the awesomeness of Facebook, we got back in touch. She e-mailed me about photographing Lourdes for her Quince (Fifteens). They were planning a special trip from Panama to Miami and she wanted to surprise her with the photo shoot. I LOVED the idea. The catch….they would be arriving within the week, would be in Miami for two days only and I had never really spoken to my niece or seen her in over 5 years.

So, I e-mailed her links to different sessions on my blog where she could choose a location and get ideas for wardrobe, we agreed on the date and time, and planned to meet 45 minutes prior to the session to decide which outfits and accessories would be in the shoot. As it turns out, the day of the session was THE most beautiful day of that week. EVERYTHING was perfect. And, as you can see, Lourdes is just a natural beauty. I am absolutely certain that higher forces were at play bringing all the pieces together perfectly for this shoot that also brought my cousin and her family back in my life. I’m so thankful for those three hours we got to spend together, sharing this gift, the gift that was given to me that I could now freely give. This session was magical on many levels and truly a gift from above.

I don’t usually post THIS many photos in a single post because I like to keep a few surprises for my clients, but since this is not really a client in the traditional sense, I thought I’d give you an insight into what a full session looks like, and MAN!! do I love this session.
